Recording update...
The recording is progressing marvelously. Drums are finished. Guitar is 95% done. Cello is 85% finished. Vocals are about 50% recorded. Photos are taken. CD artwork & booklet are about 70% done. Recording a CD of over 60 minutes duration takes a LONG time and a LOT of work. It's all been well worth it so far. We're still a month or so away from releasing it. In the meantime you can order solo CDs from Geoff & Anthony

Report on St Luke's...
Sun 19 March saw us heading to St Luke's Lutheran Church, Woodridge to present 6 songs as part of their morning church service. They had done a lot of promotion for the service and the church was full. There were more people that morning than had been for the last couple of years. Though we didn't lead the singing, we were told afterwards that the congregation hadn't sung so loudly in years. They had also done a clever thing by personally inviting all the people who hadn't been for a while to come back and enjoy our music. It worked. Many returned to be encouraged. By the comments and response afterwards it was obvious that we had contributed to making a big impact on their church family.
Report on Fiona Guy Fundraising Luncheon...
We were invited to play at a Fiona Guy Fundraising Luncheon & at New Life Lutheran Church that evening. Only Renata & Geoff were available for these. Performing as 'Qoladonai', Geoff & Renata happily volunteered their services singing for an hour at the Cedar Grove luncheon which raised over $1000 for Fiona Guy's cancer treatment.
Report on New Life...
Qoladonai then presented 6 songs at New Life Lutheran Church, Hillcrest. Pastor Noel mentioned during the service that he'd had the best of both worlds hearing 6across play that morning then hearing Qoladonai that night. (He pastors both churches.) Again, although we didn't lead the singing, we were told afterwards that the congregation hadn't sung so loudly in years. By the response afterwards it was obvious that we had really encouraged their church family, all to the glory of God and definitely not
us. |
