Last Sunday, 6across performed at Moorooka Uniting Church. It was a notable performance not only due to the premiere of two new songs 'The Day My Life Began' and 'I'm Not Flying Away' but because it may have been our first performance where Geoff didn't ask, "Can everyone hear the cello? That's the big violin that is standing on its end". The reason for this absence can be directly attributed to Anthony's recent acquisition of brushes to supplement his use of sticks for playing the drums. It was a nice change to play stripped back arrangements of the songs (only singers and bass were amplified), allowing songs to be newly appreciated by the band.

The congregation definitely enjoyed the performance, as they called us for an encore, and the band enjoyed the service - especially the lateral thinking problem posed by Rev Jim (although Renata spoiled the ending for Geoff) - as well as the after service tea, cordial and bickies.

Ps: If anyone would like to sponsor Daniel's purchase of an acoustic bass guitar or double bass please contact 6acrossrocksquietly@6across.com .
