It stands within the harbour
Jutting out into the raging sea
Standing firm as the constant barrage of waves batters

But none shall ever move it
No none will overcome
The rock, a monument of solid higher ground
Never moving, but look at me
I bend at the knees under my weighted brow
I'm calling for your help as I'm falling from the clouds
Why can't it be me standing out from the crowd
I want it to be me, I want to stand my ground like the
rock
I stand here on the shoreline
With my feet buried deep in the sand
Fending off the oncoming tide with my two outstretched
hands
It's just a matter of time
My works will come undone
Jesus, I foolishly built upon other things
Ever moving and now look at me

Struggling with this heart of stone
