6across is a Brisbane-based acoustic faith rock band.
Since forming as the Geoff Rankin Band in 2001 they have
performed at festivals (including Queensland Biennial
Festival of Music, Australian Gospel Music Festival 5
times, Sonfest 4 times), concerts, churches, church
events & camps, cafes and a variety of other venues.
6across are (left to right)...

Existing to express the band members' love for music,
life & Jesus, 6across' original compositions share
everyday struggles, faith issues and God's love for all.
Wanting to see people find life in Jesus, truths are
proclaimed through song in the band's friendly, engaging
manner. Song lyrics centre on the Bible & Bible themes,
promoting the wonderful blessing of being able to freely
access God's Word, though never coming across as being
"preachy".
The target age range is approximately 15 to 50. This may
sound like a wide gap but the band is regularly reminded
of the broad appeal of their music by people of all
ages. They have been rushed by children for autographs,
mobbed with scones by appreciative elderly folk and
thanked by everyone in between, including clergy and at
least one mayor!
Early 2008 will see the release of 6across' debut CD 'Touching The Sky' - an
hour-long exploration of modern-day faith in a
modern-day world: a collection of inspiring songs to
engage & encourage.
6across would love to minister to your church family.
The band is very adaptable to fit into most situations -
whether it's songs interspersed thoughtfully throughout
a service, a 60-minute rock concert, or anything in
between. At least 30 minutes of presentation time (ie 6
songs) is aimed for per booking.
No fee is set for Christian churches/venues, however a
love offering, donation or combination of both is
accepted with thanks to help cover costs and continue
ministering effectively.
